Technique Tuesday
I got the distressed background from splitcoaststampers.com and the faux tile came from the stampinup demonstrators website! They have great resources available to their demonstrators.
To make a Distressed background, you'll need my favorite non SU tool-Wax paper! This inexpensive little tool can be used in so many more ways than wrapping a sandwich!
I also love that each background created is unique and delightful! You will need ink pads and a heat tool! Wipe the wax paper with the ink pads and mist with water- or for added fun Spritz. Press your background paper on top of the misted ink. Dry with the heat tool and repeat as desired. Finish off the card as desired!
I used the diagonal simply scored tool plate. Luckily it was simple to use the 1/2" markings both directions for my tile, but depending on your cardstock size, other markings would work, as would the straight scored tool. Once scored, stamp the image so the "grout" lines will appear.
I adore the Attic Boutique paper and Rue De Fleurs stamp set and will miss them once they retire at the end of the month! To order some for yourself, visit my store!
