Mosaic Tile Card

 

I got to help my newest downline with her first workshop and together we designed this adorable card.  We used the new Clearly for You set (#121911 W or #121976 C) from the Occasions Mini catalog.  I love that the 1 1/4" square punch fits the large background stamp.  We punched 9 squares and layered them onto daffodil delight, and whisper white.  The whisper white piece will be the card body and opens from the bottom.  The basic black piece is difficult to write on, so this way, we get the look we want, and don't need an extra piece for the inside. 

We also used the scallop punch to create a wonderful distressed flower.  Punch two scallops and distress and crumple repeatedly until the edges seperate.  Pull apart and layer with fuzzy edges facing up.  I wanted to use a Black button for the center, but since I didn't have any, I stamped the background stamp again with VersaMark, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Unfortunately this picture did not show the wonderful shimmer.  After it had cooled, I punched it out using the 1/2" punch. I also used the Two Step Bird punch for the leaves on the card.

Spooky Halloween card

My UPS order came and I pounced on the box eager for my web embossing folder. I ran a piece of black card stock through and lightly sponged whisper white craft ink on the web. I love the eerie look it gives!!
Then a punched piece of scalloped old olive, a piece of wicked cool, a large whisper white scallop circle, pierced in each scallop and finally I combined using two stamps to get a new saying! I masked my spooky stamp and stamped each half of my original stamp.I used markers to color each section in too. I love the result!

Easter Parade

My Club meets tonight, and I was tinkering with the projects for the month last night, as well as a little door prize and fun sample to show them from my Sale-A-Bration set. I came up with these fun things. Since I know the girls peek at the blog before club, I will post the club cards tomorrow!


The Bunny Box uses the Matchbox Big Shot Die. I used kraft cardstock for the box base, the Sale-A-Bration DS paper as the wrap around top part, and Melon Mambo, Whisper White, and Pretty in Pink scraps. The stamp is from our Eight Great Greeting stamp set which I just love!!

I also embellished the box with a kraft cordury button and a piece of Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon. Four Hersheys Nuggets fit perfectly inside the box but they have been embellished with strips of the Welcome Neighbor Sale-A-Bration DS paper. You need a 3"x1" strip per nugget and it just dresses them up nicely. You could make a bunch of these for party favors for a bridal or baby shower very quickly!


The card is made using my new clear mounted SAB Stamp set Happy Moments.I really enjoy stamping using clear stamps. When I added the flowers I did it after I placed my main image on the card, so the clear blocks let me stamp without messing up my existing card. I wanted to try a simple 1 main layer card with just stamps and ink for embellishment. I think it turned out quite well! I did try a little paper piecing technique with the middle present. The other two presents were colored in with Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay markers.

Stamp room sign

I just finished working on my stamp room sign. I forthe idea from Gina, but she has a cute short little name, so her layout simply would not work for me! Many thanks for the inspiration though!

I used my fun new clear stamp set Totally Tess. Working with the tiny stamps was tricky on the clear blocks, but I am definitely getting better at working with them!

I absolutely love my sweet pea designer series pad and my new felt accents. What wonderful colors! It was hard to choose a palette as I flipped through, but I love rose red and chocolate chip together so that sealed the deal for me!

I am using a retired alphabet, but after all these years I still adore the Doodle This alphabet.
Now all I need to do is to get this in my frame. The glass may not fit since I used my new chocolate chip buttons too.
