Valentine Defined

This is my second card using this stamp set, Valentine Defined.  I really love these little flamingos!  I saw a card made by Mary Fish on her site Stampin Pretty, and wanted to try the ribbon technique on her card.  I ran my ribbon through my sewing machine on the loosest stitch, and then pulled gently on one string to gather up the ribbon.  Just for fun, I also ran around the edge of my card with the sewing machine.

Supplies:
Valentine Defined #123057(clear)
Small Oval Punch
Cherry Cobbler Ink
Whisper White, Basic Black, and Cherry Cobbler cardstocks
Whisper White Sating Ribbon

(adhesive, paper snips, and a sewing machine)

Just Add Ink #48 Layout Challenge

I did this layout challenge from Just-Add-Ink with the new Occasions Mini Bring on the Cake stamp set. I love Early Espresso and Melon Mambo together.  I used a small piece of the Sew Suite Designer Series Paper as well.

I flipped this layout and did it horizontally since it worked better for my stamp.  I used my trusty circle punch to create the jumbo scallop. The trickiest part had to be lining up the individual punches properly.  In retrospect I can think of a few other ways I could have done it to make it work a little better.

A Good Egg Pop Up card #2

I did this card once already, but reworked it slighlty. The grosgrain ribbon is a bit bulky, so I used the new Satin ribbon this time. I also used more Shades of Spring DS paper for the eggs, shells, and as a mat. I am pleased with the subtly upgrades to this fun card!
