Divas coffee break challenge #189

So I took a small liberty with this sketch and did not angle my tag, but I stamped my leaf at an angle. Does that balance it out??? I used Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, and Very Vanilla. I also used the new half back sticky pearls, and the 1/8' taffetta ribbon along with my trusty oval and scallop oval punches!  What great new embellishments we have to use now!  I just love the pearls!  Use your paper snips as a pair of tweezers and slide the points under your pearl and the pearls are a snap to get off the sheet and down on your project.

The stamp set and wheel (Paisley Prints and Paisley Party) are from the new Holiday Mini Catalog (but they were a gift to us at Convention), which will be available on the 1st of September. For those of you on my mailing list, it should be in your hot little hands this week.  If you would like to be added to my mailing list, and avoid waiting until my Open House to get your free Mini Catalog, shoot me an email with your address and I will put you on the list! The saying is from the Grateful Greetings stamp set. (#116511)

Holiday Mini Catalog Sneak Peek

Here are 2 new cards from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I absolutely love the new stamp sets in here. Well, actually I love all it all! The two featured Stamp sets tonight are Sweet Centers, and Delightful Decorations. Sweet Centers will work beautifully with the 1 3/4" circle punch, and the adorable Sweet Treat cups, as well as the Big Shot Movers & Shapers Die. You can create a wide range of holiday cards with this set, not just Halloween. The other stamp set, I used on my Halloween card is from our Grateful Greetings stamp set also in the Mini Catalog. This set has 2 different sayings cover the next few months of holidays. I used Basic Black, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry.

My second card features Delightful Decorations, and our marvelous background stamp, the Medallion. I also used the new ornament punch, but it also works well with the Movers & Shapers Big Shot Die. I used Real Red, Old Olive, and Soft Suede

The Holiday Catalog is available online September 1st. If you are on my mailing list, you should be getting your catalog in the next few days. If you aren't on my mailing list, email me and I will add you to my list. Drop by my Open House for a mini catalog make & take. My Open House will be September 12th at 8pm.

For the Newlyweds Sneak Peak

Well, this is not really a major sneak peak. I am using Walk in the Park Designer series paper which retires at the end of the month. I used the grey side which to be honest I had not touched. To add a little more contrast to my paper, I outlined some of the lightest leaves on the paper with my white gel pen. I paired the DS paper with our Brushed Silver cardstock. I stamped the top half of the card using VersaMark and the coordinating leaf from the Great Friends stamp set. It added a very subtle print to the top half of my card. Then I scalloped the bottom edge of my card and then used my Snail adhesive to apply my DS paper. Along the seam of the card I added a strip of Whisper White Grosgrain ribbon.

I ran Whisper White cardstock through my Big Shot using the Scallop Circle #2 die which has a medium and small scallop. I trimmed the circle into a dress. Then I ran the Dress back through the Big shot using the Texturz plates. That gave my dress more of a lacy bridal feeling. Then I added a ribbon waist band with Rose Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. I added a half back pearl from the pretties kit at the waist as well.

I stamped one of the sayings (For the Newlyweds) from our new set Teeny Tiny Wishes (#115370) and punched it out with my Word Window Punch. All the stamps in Teeny Tiny fit inside the Word Window Punch which is great, and the cover just about every holiday or occasion you need. There are 24 stamps in the set. It will be available starting July 1st. I backed it with a flower I cut from my Walk in the park paper.

I was thrilled to discover that one of my stampers just got engaged, so of course, the card was meant for her! Check back soon for more information and ideas for a Wedding Portfolio. This is for the DIY Bride, or anyone looking to create a special one of a kind wedding invitation for their special day I will have ideas for creating your own wedding invitations, favors, save the dates and more.
